VIT Entrance Exam To Be Held In April 2020

VIT has announced that its annual engineering entrance examination (VITEEE) will tentatively be conducted between the second and third week of April, 2020. The exam will be conducted as three sessions per day and each session will have a duration of two hours and thirty minutes.

The session timings are as follows:

09.00 am to 11.30 am

II

12.30 pm to 03.00 pm

III

04.00 pm to 06.30 pm


Question Paper Pattern

All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The question paper will have the following sections: Aptitude, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English.

The maths/biology section(Part - I) will have 40 questions, Physics (Part - II) will have 35 questions, Chemistry (Part - III) will have 35 questions, English will have 5 questions (Part - IV) and Aptitude (Part -V) will have 10 questions.

There will be no Negative marks for wrong answers.

SELECTION OF QUESTION PAPER

Candidates may choose either the MPCEA(Maths / Physics/ Chemistry / English / Aptitude) or BPCEA(Biology / Physics/ Chemistry / English / Aptitude) question papers.

Candidates who attempt and successfully clear the MPCEA will be eligible for all B.Tech. Programmes, while those who clear BPCEA will be eligible for the following Biology stream programmes only:

B.Tech. Bio-engineering(VIT-Bhopal)

B.Tech. Biotechnology(VIT, Vellore)

B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering with spl. in Bioinformatics(VIT, Vellore)

B.Tech. Electronics and Communication with spl. in Biomedical Engineering(VIT, Vellore)

However, after admission, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.

Applying For The Examination

Candidates may apply through an Offline (OMR) Application Form. The forms may be obtained from a designated list of post offices throughout India, by producing a Demand Draft in person, from the following campuses:

VIT, Vellore Campus

VIT, Chennai Campus

VIT-AP

VIT-Bhopal (MP)

Candidates may also apply online at https://vit.ac.in. Online applicants are also requested not to send the hardcopy of the application form. The last date for applying is 29th February, 2020
