NEET results have been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 5th 2019

NEET Exam Result 2019 Overview.

The NEET is an entrance exam which is used to allot 66,771 MBBS and 27, 148 BDS seats across India on a merit basis for MBBS admissions. The NEET results have been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 5th 2019 on the ntaneet.nic.in website and will become available after 4pm. Around 14 lakh students appeared for the NEET entrance exam to compete for medical and dental seats across India.

NEET Exam Result 2019 Overview

To check NEET result, log onto the website: http:// ntaneet.nic.in. Candidates must enter their roll number, date of birth and security code to access their results. The NEET score card displays the candidate’s name, roll number, all India rank, percentile score, aggregate and subject wise scores and rank by category. The minimum score to appear for counseling by MCC and State for the general category is the 50th percentile (percentile reflects the percentage of students who scored below you in the examination) which translates to a score of 701-134.  For SC/ST/other category students the minimum eligibility to appear for NEET counseling is the 45th percentile. The candidates can download or take a print of the result sheet for their future reference.  The answer key has been uploaded by the NTA so that students can cross check their answers and raise objections if any.

After the results have been declared, the NTA will provide All India Rank to the Directorate of General Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Government of India for counseling of 15% of All India Quota seats and all Deemed University/Central University/ ESIC and AFMC Institutes, BHU, DU and AMU and providing the result to the State Counselling Authorities and Admitting Institutions. The list of 50 toppers will also be released by NTA soon after the results have been declared. NEET qualified candidates can appear for All India Quota Counseling conducted by MCC or state level counseling or both, the seat allotments will be based on the NEET 2019 score card rank on a merit basis. The merit lists for seat allotment will be released separately by MCC and individual states. Other courses that accept NEET scores are AYUSH, B.V.Sc. and A.H.

The following seats are available under different quotas for easy direct admission into MBBS/BDS courses

  1. All India Quota Seats
  2. State Government Seats
  3. Central Institutions/Deemed universities Seats
  4. State/ Management/ NRI seats in Private Medical and Dental colleges
  5. Central Pool Quota seats

What are all India Quota seats?

15% of the seats run by Government Medical/Dental colleges as per MCI and DCI rules and regulations are filled by counseling conducted by the Directorate of General Health Services. The merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared for students who have opted for 15% of these seats on the basis of scores obtained in the NEET entrance exam 2019.

There are a number of foreign universities and colleges that use NEET score for direct MBBS abroad admission.
